Quality education is crucial for improving the prospect of a successful and productive future for individuals, and also leads to the economic growth of nations. The fourth Sustainable Development Goal (SDG4) is focused on ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting life-long learning opportunities for all.
However, according to UNICEF, one in every five of the world’s out-of-school children is in Nigeria, and even though primary education is officially free and compulsory, about 10.5 million of the country’s children aged 5-14 years are not in school.
According to the 2016 UIS data, In Sub-Saharan Africa, one in every three youths are out of school, with girls more likely to be excluded than boys.
