About HACEY

HACEY / About HACEY

Founded in 2007, we are a non-profit organization committed to supporting women, girls and young people in Nigeria to live a productive and healthy life. We achieve this through innovation, Capacity development, Advocacy, Research and Education (i.C.A.R.E) approach. HACEY was established to provide sustainable solutions to close the inequality gap that limits women and girls’ access to health and economic empowerment.

Our work is based on our i.C.A.R.E strategy which is an acronym for Innovation. Capacity building, Advocacy, Research and Education.

Innovation

We co-create solutions, and select tools and platforms with women and girls understanding their needs, motivation and approach.

Capacity building

We build the capacities of women and girls in Nigeria to enable them change their communities.

Advocacy

We incorporate our experience and knowledge of best practice to design and implement evidence-based policy advocacy.

Research

Our programs are designed and implemented based on evidence from survey, community and expert consultations, and desk review. We also design our project using the human-centred approach such that our interventions represent the needs of our beneficiaries.

Education

We believe that learning is key to economic development. We focus on using information technology and interactive curriculum to design and implement educative programs for our beneficiaries. Our work deploys proven strategies to deliver information and improve learning outcomes.

Our programs and projects are designed to use a multi-pronged approach in supporting beneficiaries. We are committed to championing solutions and building partnerships from grassroots to the highest policy level to play a pivotal role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Since 2007
