Graduating in 2013 with a BA in Public Communication Studies from Kent State University, Mitchell brings a fresh and diverse perspective as a former Talent Acquisition Professional with vast experience across industries such as healthcare, technology, logistics, and human services. Mitchell excels at identifying top talent and connecting them with meaningful opportunities. But, he came to find out that his true passion lies in connecting individuals with disabilities to the essential services and supports they need for a fulfilling and integrated life. With his expertise, empathy, and dedication to positive change, Mitchell makes a significant impact in assisting in the creation of transformative outcomes for the individuals that BDS serves. Mitchell is married with one son who he enjoys spending his time with when not at work. He also enjoys a nice round of golf and getting physical activity in whenever he can.
Teresa is an extraordinary individual who has made a profound impact on the lives of physically and developmentally disabled individuals in Stark and surrounding counties. In 2011, she founded Brighter Day Services, starting from her own home in North Canton, Ohio. This remarkable endeavor was undertaken while Teresa worked full-time for 32 years at Aultman Hospital as a Practice Manager for Cardio Thoracic Surgery and Internal Medicine. It is her unique background and expertise that have allowed her to establish BDS with a distinct set of objectives, setting the company apart from other Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) providers. Teresa's unwavering dedication and passion for serving one of the community's most vulnerable populations have become her life's work. With a heart full of compassion, she has devoted herself to ensuring that physically and developmentally disabled individuals receive the care, support, and opportunities they deserve. Teresa's commitment and vision have truly made a difference in the lives of those she serves, making her an inspiring leader and advocate for a brighter future.
Nicole is an exceptional professional who brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to serving the physically and developmentally disabled population. Holding an AS in Early Childhood Education from Stark State College, she has spent 9 years with BDS, making a significant impact in various positions. Starting as a dedicated Direct Support Professional, Nicole's passion and dedication led her to become the Residential Coordinator. Currently serving as the Day Program Coordinator, she continues to thrive in her role. It is challenging to express in words the profound significance this population holds for Nicole. Her attentiveness, empathy, and genuine passion shine through in her work. Nicole is an invaluable asset, consistently going above and beyond to ensure the well-being and quality of life for those she serves.
